Sheriffs Patrol Division

The Patrol Division of the Bone County Sheriff's Office is the largest program, providing the most visible and direct services to the community 24 hours a day. The word "patrol" is used here in its broadest sense. It is considered to be the primary law enforcement function and embraces much more than the act of patrolling. It is defined as a generalized function where deputies engage in a wide variety of activities which include:

  • Responding to Emergencies
  • Answering Calls for Service
  • Enforcing Traffic Laws
  • Investigating Accidents
  • Conducting Initial Criminal Investigations
